Mount House Station Homestead was constructed in 1951 of concrete blocks with a corrugated iron roof. The foundation stone was laid by Rita Blythe. The homestead is attractive and designed to suit the Kimberley climate with a central breezeway, high ceilings with natural ventilation and wide verandahs. The gardens are of particular interest for their attractive layout and for the shade house.
