This tank signifies the typical tanks that were built within this area to supply waer to the settlers, railway and stock.
Situated at the base of an outcrop of 141.64ha of a granite rock catchment north-west of Warralakin. It is a large cement tank with a corrugated roof to protect it from wildlife. The tank was a reinforced tank AA 450. Tank area is 450-9015m3 and has the capacity of 2 million gallons of water
This tank was erected in 1928 and completed in 1929 to utilise runoff from the rock to store water. This site was surveyed by an Engineer called Obrian in 1927. The standpipe from the tankwas also used by the settlerrs and railways in Warralakin townsite.
