The building is a fine example of the building style of this period. It is an important part of the
district's building stock and makes a positive contribution to the landscape.
Located on the east side of the York Road about 12 kms NE of Williams.
The dwelling consists of four bedrooms, kitchen and lounge. A verandah is on all four sides with a
bathroom on the back verandah (facing west):
Remnant trees of the orchard are on the west and south side of the house while a large flooded gum
has grown close to the northern edge.
The land was selected by John Douglas Bell shortly after the turn of the century. (1) The property
is still farmed by his descendants.
