History

Lord Fon-est owned other property in Eric Street where Hamersley Street now is to Marine Parade. In 1920 Lady Forrest applied to the council to make alterations to the cottage. Some time after her husband died in 1918 Lady Forrest came to live in 34 Forrest Street, Cottesloe. The house was owned by C.F.J .North in 1921-2 and transferred to Margaret Olive [Elvire] Forrest 22/6/23. North probably lived there with his new wife when he returned from England on his father's death and whilst "Kulahea "was being built. In 1924-5 it was sold to a Mr/Mrs Wood.
