The place, for its building form and architectural characteristics, makes a positive contribution to the Whatley Crescent streetscape. It is representative of early suburban settlement within Maylands.
A symmetrical thrust bay house with a half verandah with decorative timbering and elaborate detailed sunhood under the gable. The verandah has turned posts and a simple balustrade. The window assemblies area in triple couplings of one major and two flanking minor bays. It has tuck pointed brick and stucco dressings and strings with the original iron roof.
A fine example of an early suburban house with high aesthetic value in a fair condition.
