The Ongerup Railway Barracks were built to accommodate engine drivers and railway workers when the line was opened on 6-1-1913. The barracks were built in 1918. In I957, when the service from Gnowangerup to Ongerup was suspended, this building became obsolete. Now the barracks serve as a local museum and to house various displays.
