The single storey brick and tile residence, FederationlInterWar Bungalow style, has cultural significance because: it has some historical significancedue to its association with Mills &Ware and the McNeil holding; it is a good and representative example of its style, which retains a high degreeof authenticity; it has social significance because its use as a manager's residence for a significant company demonstrates the socio-economicstanding of this part of the district; it also forms part of a cultural group.

Physical Description

The residence is a good example of a finely proportioned bungalow, which has a high levelof authenticity, and benefits fromits garden setting. The style derives from the pre World War I period, but has been simplifiedand refined.

History

This place was subdivided from part of the McNeil holding, the place was for a period owned by Mills & Ware Ltd, the well known Western Australian biscuit manufacturing company, as a manager's residence.
