Statement of Significance

A good interpretation of Tuscan styling to produce an elegant house that contributes to the streetscape of central Broome Street near the Mediterranean styled Civic Centre. It continues the Mediterannean theme which has been quite strong in Cottesloe.

Physical Description

A competent rendering (late 1980s early 1990s) of Tuscan elements mustered together to form a single and part two storey residence. The plan form is simple with complexity being added by the dominant two storey chimney element and parapeted front portico with its rusticated columns. Windows are architraved with plain returns and some are shuttered. The walls are smooth rendered in a soft cream and the hipped low pitch roof has cordova tiles and half round gutters that are set off corbelled eaves. There appear to be references to the civic centre.
