11455 Karlgarin Townsite - site
The place demonstrates a way of life, and associations with the early settlers.
The cream brick building has a dramatic gable roof and angled walls. A central front wall is constructed of stone an flanked by large timber doors either side. A set of four steps extends the entire width of the front.
The church occupies the site of the first hall in the Karlgarin townsite. Mass was conducted in the hall regularly after 1937, when Father Stinston was the new priest in Kondinin. The church was opened on 13 March 1966, by the Most Reverend Myles McKeon, and the Parish priest, Father Buckley.
