Statement of Significance

With the exception of some minor modifications the house contributes to the street as a good modestly decorated Edwardian bungalow.

Physical Description

A relatively straightforward bungalow c1900 based on a type that persisted from the late 1890s with brick walls, stucco string course and sills and a half width timber framed verandah with its roof supported on timber posts with decorative column head brackets. Major restoration 1994.

History

William Stanthorpe, a steward, rented this from Mr Joyce in 1905.
