The Lady Brand Lodge has local social significance for its role in providing aged care to the residents of Three Springs and surrounding districts.
A large rectangular building of symmetrical design, built of cream brick and brown tiled hipped roof. The roof extends to form eaves around the building. A central entry porch has a gable roof which extends from the building. At each end of the building, a small bay window extends from the building under the eaves space. Between the bay windows and the entry porch, adjacent to the building, there are low planter boxes of matching brick. Cooling units extend above the roof, with a solar hot water system to the south roof.
Constructed in 1973 to provide aged care facilities for residents of Three Springs and surrounding districts, funds were provided by the federal government and the Shires of Three Springs, Coorow, Carnamah, Morawa, Mingenew and Perenjori. The building was named for Lady Doris Brand (nee McNeill of Arrino), wife of the former Premier of Western Australia and local member, Sir David Brand. (Source:_H.A.
