The Roadhouse was originally built by the Caltex Oil Company, and financed by a syndicate of six local people; Syd Langsford, henry Caporn, Jack O'Shea, Laurie Adamson, Athol Clemens and Jack Wilson. The place was leased out for 10 years and then sold to the Shell Company in Corrigin. It subsequently changed ownership to the BP Company.
