The Nurses' Quarters are locally significant for its role in the health care system of Three Springs and surrounding areas. The unusual design, being only one room wide and the large palm trees to the south add to the significance of the place.
A large rectangular building built of impressed concrete block, plain concrete block is used at each corner to give a quoining effect. A CGI roof extends to cover a surrounding verandah. The centre of the verandah on the south side has an entry porch with a gable roof and timber barge-board. The building is one room wide with 5 sets of double entry doors to the south and 5 single entry doors to the north. There are no windows, the upper section of all doors being glass. The walls and timber are painted white. There is a single chimney to the east. Two large phoenix canariensis enhance the southern aspect of the building.
Built in 1954 as a nurses' quarters for staff of the North Midlands Hospital which is adjacent and to the west, (see Place No. 21)
