The Club Hotel is socially significant and has associations with the development of the Brookton town. It is an integral element of the historical character of Brookton.
Double storey corner location with ground and first floor verandahs to both street frontages. The masonry building has a rendered dado and roughcast above on the ground floor, and the original face brick on the first floor. The roof is hipped and facetted about the truncated corner. The verandahs have new balustrades and square turned timber posts.
In 1914, a second hotel was proposed for Brookton. A transfer was proposed from the licensed Westbrook Hotel in Kulyaling. The Bedford Hotel proprietor opposed the transfer. Perth Architect JD Ochiltree had drawn plans for the hotel. The Court approved the transfer, and the Club Hotel opened in 1915.
