One of a number of homes in this street of heritage value. Part of the streetscape of a heritage precinct situated next to "Pine Lodge" and opposite "Montefiore" it contributes to the general ambience.
"Novas", Hipped iron roof with a small gablet to the font, 1913. Verandahs to half the west and all the south face. It has a separate hipped roof to the verandah. The double-hung windows are floor to ceiling window/doors. The front door has a large central light with a pair above and a fanlight but no side lights. The walls are tuckpointed red brick. The gable has a carved wooden finial. The corbelled chimney stack has a holey terracotta pot similar to that in nearby 86 Forrest Street
In 1913 this was owned by Jessie Shanks and in 1914 by James Thombury.
