Statement of Significance

The site is significant on the following grounds: HISTORIC/SOCIAL: 1. Important as a place valued by the community for reasons of historic, social, educational, religious and spiritual associations. 2. This is the site of one of only two churches ever built in the Narrogin Shire.

History

Church building was dismantled and relocated in Narrogin as present Lutheran Church between 1951 to 1954.

Integrity/Authenticity

Modifications: A 10' x 20' vestry was added to the Church building in 1917 and was used as a classroom until 1922. A 24' x 24' school building was located adjacent to the Church in July, 1922 on land donated by C.H. Lange. The school remained open until July, 1941. It remained on the site for another 10 years in case is was required again and finally was relocated to the Wickepin School site in August, 1951.
