The place demonstrates a way of life and unique cooperation between Christian communities in Watheroo. It is significant as the first jointly owned church in Australia.
Face red brick with a front gable. The centre has a double entry door central with a flat roof cover supported by slender posts. Above the canopy roof, the gable wall is a series of recessed steel framed blue coloured glass panels. The roof is tiled. The sides of the hall have four windows, each with a series of three vertical hoppers.
In 1951, a special trust was set up by the Anglican and Methodist communitiies in Watheroo. Mrs Ethel Keamy of "Cardo" donated the land and the Watheroo Ladies Guild formed in 1956, raised funds for the church building. On the 22nd September 1957, the Anglican Archbishop and the President of the Methodist Conference dedicated the first joint owned church in Australia.
