Statement of Significance

The series of small cottages numbers at the south end of Nairn Street Leeman have historic significance for their association with the early development of the town. Number 3 has had a new house built to the west of the cottage.

Physical Description

A small timber framed cottage clad with fibro. There is an asbestos gable roof. A new house has been built in close proximity to the west of the cottage.There is a ROW to the west-side of the block.

History

A series of three small cottages at the south end of Nairn Street Leeman. These blocks were surveyed in 1962 and the title was granted to this block in 1966. This cottage was built by William (Bill) and Rosa Wilson. (Source: K Lipscombe, Title Deeds; B & S McTaggart)
