Statement of Significance

The building is an important component of the traditional commercial centre. It also forms part of the remnant building stock which make up the historic town's fabric.

Physical Description

Two-storey premises originally face brick, now painted. The parapet is surmounted by two decorated pediments.

History

Constructed at the turn of the 20th century, the building was one of the commercial premises erected in response to the increased population resulting from the expansion of industry in the area.
