Physical Description

Large timber clad shed with asbestos roof.

History

The Conservation Plan for the place states that the 'original D, E and F Sheds were built during original construction of the Quay between 1901 and 1906, but were amalgamated to become the existing E Shed and D Shed in 1927/29. It is not clear whether the original sheds were completely or partially demolished in the renovation, but it is thought that some fabric of the original sheds remains in the existing D Shed.'
