This two storey brick and shingle tiled residence in the InterWar Old English style has cultural significance, because: it has associationswith a well known dentist of the period; it demonstrates the stylistic nostalgia of the periods either side of World War II it demonstrates the nature of infill development which occurred on subdividedlots; it is part of a cultural group and a townscape area.
The place demonstrates the nature of infill development which occurred on subdivided lots in the Post War period.
The place was built for well known dentist, Leonard Liddell, who was secretary, Superintendent and Chairman of the Board of Management of the Perth Dental Hospital.
The place is a residence in a nostalgic style, whichwas popular in a number of higher income areas of Perth, either side of WorId War II.
