A typical Cottesloe type and one that establishes its early period of development character. It also s
demonstrates the capacity of these houses to accept adaptation and change but retain character.
A symmetrical plan with a hipped roof covering house and verandah, 1913. The walls are of black tuckpointed
brick and windows are side hung casements, the roof is a replacement colourbond sheet
roof. The front door Is an asymmetrical door and sidelight set with simply designed stained glass. Sills
are stucco with decorative scrolls. Verandah is timberframed with restrained filigree brackets. The house
is almost completely hidden from the street.
In 1913 Mrs RW Atkinson had improved the land. She lived there by 1915. Thomas Atkinson also lived there.
