Albert Criddle's House has historic significance for its connection to the early development of the town.
Further the house being situated on Hunts Road forms an important element in the historic character of the town.
RECOMMENDATION
Each of the buildings [Place Numbers 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29] contribute to the unique streetscape of Hunts Road which should be considered as a heritage precinct with development considerations made accordingly.
1996
A hipped steeply pitched corrugated asbestos roof extends to cover the verandah to the front with a leanto roof to the rear. The front verandah is supported on timber posts and partially enclosed with lattice.
Windows are double hung, timber framed. There is a chimney to the west elevation.

This house was built for Albert Criddle by local builder Charles Osborn about 1914. Albert Criddle was the local carrier and taxi service transporting goods and people between the town and the railway station.
