The Swimming Pool has local social significance for its role in the recreational and water sporting activities of the district.
Olympic size swimming pool, with floodlights and a small brick entry building to the east. The main pool is 50 metres long with 9 lanes, there is also a wading and toddlers pool.The original sand filter system is still operational. The pool is surrounded by a wire fence and grassed areas.
Opened 1961, the swimming pool has been an important asset for the residents of the district, especially during the hot summer months. The provision of swimming lessons to local children at this facility was not possible prior to the construction of this facility.
