Shire of Mundaring

Condition

The landscape to the rear of the property appears to be in excellent condition. The residence is in excellent condition due to continued occupation and extensive renovations and additions since 1980. The former carport and studio are in a reasonable condition due to their age, construction type and nature of use. The place as a whole continues in use as an artisan's residence and workshop in a bushland setting, and therefore has high integrity. The landscape to the rear of the property, and in particular Jane Brook, is still recognisable from its repeated portrayal by James Linton and has a high degree of authenticity. The residence does not tangibly demonstrate an association with the life and works of James and Betsey Linton, and has been significantly changed, and as such has low integrity and authenticity.
