Platform and shelter demolished in 2005 to accommodate construction of a new railway platform 2006. New railway platform not in the same location. Norfolk Island Pine and Kurrajong tree retained at considerable expense by the Railways. Historical Society advises that Ms Julie Trajkoski tendered for the removal of the platform structure (timber posts and roof) and had it carefully dismantled and reassembled in Mt Helena as per the original WAGR 1910 plans. She is currently placing walling around the sides so that it can be used as a shed.
