Statement of Significance

The Reserve is significant for the following reason:

Social Value: Fred Jones was a member of Melville's pioneering Caporn family and was a well known local identity. He was a member of the melville Horticultural Society and voluntarily cared for the reserve.

Physical Description

A small reserve landscaped with grassed areas, eucalyptus and rose gardens it also contains children's play equipment and a child health centre.
