The original cottage has gone, and the remains of the other cottages, 'Jam tree' and 'Pancake, are further up the valley. Mud brick cottage.

History

John O'Neill was a transported convict. After being discharged he changed the spelling of his name to O'Neil. He was a shoemaker before taking up land in 1868. After he died in 1879, his wife Mary and 12 year old son John (jnr) carried on. "Granny O'Neill' built the mud brick cottage. John (jnr) became a JP and Chairman of the Road Board, and married Ellen Morley. He died in 1958. Clarina is named after the Irish village where the O'Neills came from. There are graves of two O'Neill children on the property. That part of the property is now included in the road reserve.
