The hotel has social significance to the shire, as a meeting place for the community - both formally and informally - and a source of recreation. It has historic significance being one of the first buildings in the town of Nyabing, and also contributes to the aesthetics of the mainstreet.
Single storey building with layers of additions and alterations evident. Brick rendered facade with sheet tile roof and veranda.
In 1925 a Mr A Gaby, the local butcher, opened the Nyabing guest house.
