One of the oldest and one of the few brick and stone cottages in Cottesloe.
This Victorian cottage has brick walls to the sides of the house but like 18 Broome Street, 103 Forrest
Street and 183 Curtin Avenue the frontage is mainly coursed random rubble limestone [Cottesloe stone].
Brick quoins around the windows and the front corners of the house make an attractive contrast. The
windows are double hung with a large central window and smaller lights on each side. The L shaped
hipped roof is of corrugated zincalume. A bullnosed verandah with square verandah posts extends
across part of the frontage. One room projects forward. The house is set close to the front of the block
behind a low picket fence in a narrow street. The weatherboard cottage which stands beside it
contributes to an intimate streetscape. The family which owns it extended it in 1989 adding a family
room, bathrooms and two other rooms
In 1905 owned by David Noonan railway employee.
A police commissioner lived here in the 1940s.
