Statement of Significance
The site represents a way of life no longer practiced.
History
Education was an important issue for the settlers in the
developing communities, as demonstrated by the community involvement, and the local focus.
The centralisation of the system was the demise of the small community schools. The school
closed in 1942, and the building was relocated to Balkuling in c1950.
