The place has associations with innovative rural subdivision, and as a social venue in the Bindoon area.
Brick construction with a corrugated iron roof. It is an elevated
location overlooking Bindoon town and surrounds.
In 1984, property developer Kenneth Eather bought the property
and developed it as part of the Chittering Country Club sub division. It was an innovative concept of
subdivision, and was a unique rural subdivision in Australia. The place was built as the club rooms of the
country club estate, and it was the social centre of much of the Bindoon district at that time. In 1985 the
Chittering Country Club Association ended. The trustees sold the property in 1997, after the landholders
failed to agree to a management plan and it operates as a restaurant and function centre.
