History

The plaque at the centre commemorates the town of Varley being connected to scheme water in 1990. Ernie Bridge, the Minister for Water supply at the time, officiated at the ceremony. After many requests from the local community, public toilet facilities were constructed at the site, and later the setting was landscaped. It provides a welcome facility to Varley.
