An Edwardian style bungalow which contributes to the streetscape in Cottesloe. The land was once s
owned by Alexander Forrest. Part of the post WW1 building boom.
An Edwardian "Queen Anne " bungalow, c 1919, with a multi-hipped roof now tiled in terracotta. The
bullnosed verandah is in corrugated iron. The chimney shaft is tall and corbelled. Verandah posts are
square slender, chamfered and paired. There is no filigree lace woodwork. The small gables are half
timbered in a fan with a turned finial with pebbledash in between. Two bay windows are set diagonally
across the block. A third is in between. They have sets of five plain glass lights in the casement windows
with smaller lights above with stained glass. The house is of red tuckpointed brick set among gardens
behind a low picket fence. At some stage there have been two separate extensions to the rear of the
house. There are two skillions beyond the original roof.
