Statement of Significance

The place, for its building form and architectural characteristics, makes a positive contribution to the streetscape. This place is an example of a workers cottage and is representative of the
development of Maylands following the turn of the century.

Physical Description

A small worker's cottages and one of a pair, the house has a simple rectangular plan with a return verandah. The cottage has been renovated in recent times and stabilised, though in this process some of the detail has been lost when compared with its neighbour at No. 114. It is timber framed and clad with an iron roof.

History

An important dwelling representing the earlier period of development in Maylands and contributes positively to the streetscape. It is part of an estate that developed after 1906 and is an example of a worker's cottage.
