Physical Description

White Well is very deep

History

The well was constructed to provide water for the grazing stock and the shepherds or travellers.

The Barrett-Lennard family were among the first settlers in the Swan River Colony, when Edward arrived on the "Marquis of Anglea" on 23 August 1829. They subsequently took up land in the Swan Districts and then the Wongan Hills region. The fourth and fifth generations of the family farm the land. Three members of the family have served on the Roads Board.
White Well was the mainstay water supply for the surrounding area, at one time.
