Early use is documented and one of only a few reserves currently being maintained.
The area of mixed Flora and Fauna on a steep slope with much of it granite. The reserve is surrounded by private property, the owners of which have rehabilitated the reserve at their own cost and time.
Set aside as a water reserve in 1907 the area varied until it was set in 1910 to 112 acres. The Spring id noted as one of the earliest in the area.
Integrity: Good
The reserve is in reasonable condition, it is now fenced off to keep stock out. The "carers" should be congratulated and the reserve left in their care.
