Statement of Significance
The place has historic value for its association with the early development of a water supply in Leonora.
Physical Description
The dam and Pumping Station is located at Station Creek, 15km north of Leonora.
The water is contained in a dammed creek by a rammed earth wall on one side which is decorated with ornamental piers at each end. Above the wall is a plain iron rail.
The dammed water was gravity fed into the town of Leonora. The dam increased with the town's expansion. The water was fed into holding tanks (Site No. 26).
