The former school and quarters was the first school in the Muchea district, and has associations with education and generations of Muchea students.
Timber framed and clad with a corrugated iron roof. On a 5 acre site.
When Muchea townsite was gazetted in 1904, Reserve 2336, west of the railway was set aside for a school. With enough children in the area, the Progress Association lobbied for a school and established this one. The first teacher at the school when it opened in 1905, was Mrs Carle, and she had ten students. John Charles Peters taught at the school after he was invalided in World War One. He married Blanche Fewster in 1919, and taught at the school for the next twenty years. After a second school was built in 1927, the first school building became the teacher's quarters. When Bullsbrook High School opened in 1952, this place continued to used as accomodation for teachers at the high school until the Education Department sold it.
