History

The 11,000 acre property was part of the original lease taken up by the Lefroy Brothers in 1846. In 1865, John Dix came from Ireland with his family and worked for Clinch at Berkshire Valley. In the late 1860's, Dix purchased 40 acres at Burradidgy and established the farm building and outhouses in the early 1890's. In about 1907, JA Game purchased the property for his son, but sold it only 20 months later to Thomas Sandland and his son Phil in 1908. By that time the entire proeprty was fenced into four paddocks.
