Physical Description

An early single-storey brick and iron cottage characterised by simplicity in form and a lack of decoration. Typical features include separate dropped pitch verandah roof, central front door, original double hung sash windows, steep roof pitch and some early original lacework.

History

One of the oldest brick and iron houses in the street. An old well has been filled in. House was once owned by the Guest family from 1943. It was then purchased by the Turnes - an old Guildford family. This house is in near original condition. Hand made bricks are said to have been used in its construction.
