The 'Setinels' ar a well known element of the Vincent Street streetscape. They were planted to compliment the Art Deco style of the Town Hall.
The"Sentinals" are three tall pine trees planted in 1938. The tallest is 35ft high and the others graduate down to 27ft.
The trees were on the original plan for the Town Hall to complimetn the Art Deco style. They are a well known part of hte Beverley streetscape. A meeting was held in 1992, putting the decsion that the tree pine trees be removed. There was a large attendance at the meeting and over 100 people voted to keep the trees, with 11 votes to have them removed.
