Norlup Homestead is of State significance as one of the homesteads representing early European settlement in the Boyup Brook area (Upper Blackwood)
The homestead built in 1872 incorporates and early schoolroom. The site includes two imported French granite millstones in the Garde and a pool known as Deadman's Pool located on Scott's Brook.
