Of particular significance is the intact 1920-30s shopfront in the ‘Art Deco’ style demonstrating decorative glass lead light panels and the flat pressed metal cladding to the piers and window bases. Copper clad mullions and the original timber entry doors remain.
The building is a typical Kalgoorlie shop positioned in the important heritage precinct, Hannan Street, that makes a significant contribution to the streetscape and harmonises with the neighbouring shops. The building is a single-storey structure with a significant ‘Art Deco’ shopfront to Hannan Street and a large pediment concealing the roof line. The building has a typical Hannan Street verandah that covers the pavement in front of the shop. It appears that the building was restored in c. 1938. Of particular significance is the intact mid- 1930s shopfront in the ‘Art Deco’ style demonstrating decorative glass lead light panels and flat pressed metal cladding to the piers and window bases. Copper clad mullions and the original timber entry doors remain. The recessed entrance of the shop front is an important component of the street's character.
