History

Finsbury Gardens was established in the 1920s by the owner, Frederick Kammann who arrived in WA in 1906. (He died in 1949). It was based on Finsbury Garden in Hyde Park, England. Another farm owned by the family was called Hyde Park. The garden is an amazing collection of mature exotic trees including a huge oak tree, Monkey Puzzle and Bunya Bunya trees, copper beech and others. A derelict house, built in the 1920s has been unoccupied for some time. The property used to have substantial apple orchards.
