The place, for its building form and architectural characteristics, makes a positive contribution to the Whatley Crescent streetscape. It is representative of early suburban settlement within Maylands.
A symmetrical thrust bay house with a verandah with a decorative infull in the arts and crafts manner. Elaborate fretwork decorates the verandah which is approached via a sweeping set of steps. The house sits on rising ground and looks over the railway in a grand manner. It has recent render over brick with an iron roof.
A fine example of a suburban house with high aesthetic value and in good condition.
