Statement of Significance

The place represents a phase of development on the site where the first permanent settlement in the region took place. It demonstrates a way of life.

Physical Description

Concrete block construction with a tile roof. Rectangular floor plan with verandah around the entire perimeter of the place.

History

The original pastoralist's dwelling (Ref No. ) in close proximity to this place was in a state of serious disrepair when the new homestead was constructed in the early 1950s. The building is substantial for the period.
