Statement of Significance

The site represents a tribute to a community identity, and the rural community spirit of co-operation.

History

The playground commemorates W. N. Trembath after whom it is named. He was Chairman of the Kondinin Roads Board from 1930-1936. In c1990 a group of interested mums and small children in the local community raised about $10,00 from within the community, and were successful in applying for a $1 for $1 grant. They provided playground equipment for the park. The Trembath Restoration Committee has now given the Tourist group the lead to interpret the park.
