The place has aesthetic significance as a recognised example of 1980s commercial architecture. It received a Royal Australian Institute of Architects Commendation for Commercial Architecture in 1988. The place has landmark value.
A free-standing curvilinear form with the structural frame expressed. Horizontal banding of windows with balconies, external sun control and cantilevers integrated into the facade.
This lot was the location of the two storey Ozone Hotel, built in 1897 and closed in 1985. A new semi-circular designed office building was constructed by 1988 for Woodside Petroleum designed by Forbes & Fitzhardinge. The building was awarded a Royal Australian Institute of Architects Commendation in 1988.
High level of integrity. High level of authenticity.
