The place demonstrates associations with the development of education facilities in Moora and generations of children who attended the school.
Brick and tile construction.
In 1949, the site was selected for a new school. In 1957, two rooms were constructed and in 1958, the school was upgraded to Junior High. By 1959, 216 students attended the school and extensions took place in the form of a manual training and home science area. By 1962, another classroom was added and the assembly area was bitumised. In 1965 a purpose built science laboratory was constructed. In 1968, 488 students attended the school and it was proposed to split the secondary and primary sections of the school. This took place in 1971 and from 1973, the Moora Junior District) High School was established. In 1975, it became known as the Central Midlands High School.
